Like most local charities, SCILL does not have a dedicated fundraiser in post so much of the work is undertaken by staff and volunteers. As a charity it is essential that SCILL raises funds to remain operating. So, how do we raise our money?
- Working with the local authority to provide contracted services
- Applying to charitable trusts for grants to fund projects
- Undertaking community fundraising such as quizzes, race nights, bingo evenings
- Working with local business for sponsorship
- Tapping into the 'community days' offered by local business
- Developing social enterprises and income generating projects
- Working in partnership with other organisations, both locally and further afield
