About Scill

SCILL is a charity based in the centre of Sutton. It is an independent living centre and a user led organisation which means that it is led and controlled by the people it supports i.e. disabled people. SCILL is passionate about promoting the principles of independent living, choice and control for disabled people and their carers, and works hard to remove the barriers which prevent disabled people from living full and independent lives.
SCILL offers a wide range of services which are designed to support and enable disabled people encouraging them to have choice and control in their life, and inspiring them to become active citizens in their community.
The building is used by a number of different organisations and clubs during the day, evenings and weekends. Sutton Association for the Blind and the London Borough of Sutton Personalised Support Team are based on site.
We feel that it is important that people who use our services are involved in designing and developing them to make sure they are shaped in a way which is right for them and community they live in. This is why their involvement is very important to us and why we have set up a stakeholder group (click here to go to the stakeholder group) to share ideas, shape services and become involved.
